Personal Coaching for Your Return to Exercise After Birth
After pregnancy and birth, the challenge is often not finding another workout.
It is knowing where to begin, what is appropriate for your body now and how to progress without rushing the process.
With Fit with Rozzie, you are not left to follow a generic postpartum workout programme on your own.
You train privately with a qualified female coach who can see how you move, understand your current starting point and adapt your training as your strength and confidence develop.
Meet Your Postnatal Coach
Rozzie Kinyua is an internationally certified personal trainer and Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach.

With Rozzie i have had the best training experience! As i am postpartum She has created a program that was safe, realistic, and perfectly tailored to my recovery while helping me regain my strength and confidence. PRIVATE ONLINE COACHING
Why Private Online Postnatal Coaching Works
Private online coaching gives you the structure and personal attention of one-to-one training without requiring you to travel to a gym or follow workouts alone.
Personalised to Your Starting Point
Your programme reflects your previous training experience, current capacity, postnatal considerations, goals and available equipment rather than following a standard postpartum plan.
Live Technique Feedback
Your coach watches you move during every live session and provides immediate coaching cues, technique feedback and exercise adjustments.
Private Female-to-Female Coaching
Train from home with a qualified female coach in a private 1-to-1 environment focused entirely on you.
No Commute or Full Home Gym Required
Train in your living room, home gym or suitable residential gym using the space and equipment available to you.
How Online Postnatal Personal Training Works
Online coaching with Fit with Rozzie is real personal training delivered remotely, not a library of prerecorded postpartum workouts.
Postnatal Consultation & Fitness Assessment
We begin by learning more about you.
This may include:
- your birth and relevant recovery circumstances
- previous training experience
- how exercise currently feels
- symptoms or concerns relevant to training
- healthcare guidance or restrictions
- your goals
- available space and equipment
This is a fitness and coaching assessment, not a medical or physiotherapy assessment.
Your Personal Starting Point
Your programme begins with what is appropriate for you now, not automatically with what you were doing before pregnancy.
Exercise selection, loading, range of motion, positions and overall training difficulty can be adjusted according to your current capacity, experience and relevant healthcare guidance.
Live 1-to-1 Training
Sessions are delivered live through Google Meet, with Zoom available as a backup when required.
Your coach demonstrates movements, watches your technique and gives feedback while you train.
If an exercise is not working well for you, it can be changed immediately.
Ongoing Progression
As your strength, control, confidence and exercise tolerance develop, your programme develops too.
Progress may mean adding resistance, changing exercise complexity, increasing training volume or gradually working towards broader strength and fitness goals.
Your Online Setup
You do not need expensive equipment.
A mat, resistance bands and a few suitable dumbbells already provide many training options.
If you have access to more equipment at home or in a residential gym, your programme can make use of it.
Your phone, tablet or laptop simply needs to be positioned so your coach can see your movement clearly.

STARTING POINT
Your Postnatal Starting Point Is Personal
There is no universal postpartum programme and no single training timeline that applies to every woman.
Your previous experience, birth and recovery circumstances, current symptoms, energy and healthcare guidance can all influence where training should begin.
If You Trained Before or During Pregnancy
Previous training experience can be a useful starting point.
You may already be comfortable with strength exercises, equipment and training technique.
But being experienced does not mean you need to return immediately to your previous weights, exercise volume or intensity.
We use what you already know while adapting the programme to what is appropriate for you now.
If You Are Starting or Returning After a Longer Break
There is nothing you need to catch up on.
If structured training is new to you — or you have taken a longer break — your programme can begin with simpler movements and gradually build strength, technique and confidence.
Your starting point should reflect your current capacity, not what someone else is doing at the same number of weeks or months postpartum.
BUILDING FORWARD
From Your First Sessions Back to Stronger Training
Postnatal personal training should change as your capacity changes. The goal is not to remain permanently at an introductory level.
Start Where You Are
Early sessions may focus on controlled movement, appropriate exercise positions, breathing, technique and rebuilding confidence with resistance training.
The exact starting point differs from woman to woman.
Build Capacity
Training gradually becomes more structured.
Depending on your individual situation, this may include movements such as squats, hinges, rows, presses, split-stance exercises, carries and progressive core work.
Load, range of motion and volume can increase over time.
Train for Bigger Goals Again
When appropriate, coaching can progress beyond specifically postnatal goals.
That may mean heavier strength training, more demanding conditioning, higher-impact exercise or simply feeling physically capable and confident again.
Postnatal is where your programme begins. It does not have to define where your training ends.
TRAINING AT HOME
Training That Fits Real Life With a Baby
Finding time to exercise after having a baby can be difficult even when training matters to you.
Online coaching removes the commute and allows your sessions to happen in the environment where you already spend much of your time.
Your Baby Can Be Nearby
You do not need a perfectly quiet or distraction-free home to train.
Where the setup is safe, your baby can often remain nearby while you complete your session.
Use the Space You Already Have
A living room, spare room, home gym or suitable residential gym can all work.
Your programme is adapted to the space and equipment actually available to you.
No Gym Commute
There is no need to pack everything, drive to a gym, train and travel home again.
When the session starts, your trainer meets you online.
Coaching Around Real Life
Sleep, feeding and family routines do not always follow a perfect schedule.
We arrange sessions according to agreed coach availability while keeping the training setup as practical as possible for your routine.
POSTNATAL CONSIDERATIONS
Postnatal Considerations We Coach Around
Postnatal exercise is more individual than simply choosing a list of “safe” exercises. These factors can influence exercise selection and progression while remaining within the scope of personal training.
Core & Pressure Management
Breathing, control, exercise position and loading can all influence how you manage pressure as strength training progresses.
Diastasis Recti
Exercise choices should consider how your abdominal wall functions and responds to movement rather than focusing only on the width of a gap.
Pelvic Floor Symptoms
Exercise can be adapted where appropriate, while persistent leaking, heaviness, pain or pressure may require assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional.
C-Section Considerations
The return to general strength training should respect healing, comfort, symptoms and healthcare guidance.
COMMON EXERCISE QUESTIONS
Questions Women Often Have About Training After Birth
Postnatal exercise advice is often reduced to fixed timelines or lists of movements you should and should not do. In practice, your previous training, current symptoms, exercise response and individual circumstances all matter.
When can I start exercising after giving birth?
There is no single date that is appropriate for every type of exercise or every woman.
Your birth and recovery, current symptoms, previous activity, the type of training you want to return to and any healthcare guidance all influence the decision.
If there are medical concerns, recent surgery, complications or uncertainty about exercise suitability, appropriate healthcare assessment or clearance may be needed before structured training begins or progresses.
Can I exercise after a C-section?
Your return to exercise should take account of healing, comfort, symptoms and the guidance provided by your healthcare team.
Once structured exercise is appropriate, personal training can help you gradually rebuild general movement, strength and fitness.
Fit with Rozzie does not provide C-section scar treatment, post-surgical rehabilitation or physiotherapy.
Can I train my core with diastasis recti?
Diastasis recti does not automatically mean that you need to avoid using your abdominal muscles.
Exercise selection should consider how your abdominal wall responds to movement, your ability to manage the exercise and whether you experience symptoms or uncontrolled doming.
The width of the gap alone does not determine every exercise choice.
Where there are significant concerns, an appropriate professional assessment may be recommended.
What if I experience leaking, heaviness or pelvic pressure during exercise?
These symptoms are not something you need to simply push through.
An exercise may need to be modified, reduced or stopped depending on what you are experiencing.
Persistent leaking, pelvic pain, heaviness, pressure or concerns about prolapse should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional or pelvic-health physiotherapist.
Personal training does not replace that assessment or treatment.
When can I return to running or higher-impact exercise?
Returning to running should be based on more than the number of weeks since birth.
Previous running experience, current strength, symptoms, movement control, exercise tolerance and relevant healthcare guidance can all influence readiness.
Where appropriate, training can first build the strength and capacity needed before higher-impact exercise is gradually introduced.
Can I lift weights after giving birth?
Postnatal training does not mean remaining with very light resistance indefinitely.
Strength training can be progressed according to your current capacity, symptoms, technique and training response.
Over time, that may mean gradually increasing load and returning to more demanding strength work when appropriate.
Can I exercise while breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding does not by itself determine what type of exercise you can perform.
Practical factors such as comfort, feeding timing, hydration, energy intake, sleep and how you feel during training can influence how sessions are planned.
If you have medical or feeding-related concerns, those should be discussed with the appropriate healthcare professional.
