Personal Support From a Coach Who Understands Pregnancy Training

Pregnancy can make exercise feel uncertain, especially when advice online is often reduced to lists of exercises you should or should not do.

With Fit with Rozzie, you are not following a prerecorded pregnancy workout. You are training live with a qualified female coach who can see how you move, listen to how you are feeling and adapt your session in real time.

Pregnancy-Specific Coaching With Rozzie

Rozzie Kinyua is an internationally certified personal trainer and Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach with specialist experience supporting women through pregnancy and the return to exercise after birth.

Her coaching style is calm, personal and structured, with a strong focus on strength, movement quality, appropriate progression and helping clients feel confident in what they are doing.

I’m currently training with Rozzie throughout my pregnancy, and I couldn’t ask for a better coach. She is incredibly kind, supportive, and always takes the time to listen to how I’m feeling before and during each session. She adapts every workout to make sure it’s safe and appropriate for my stage of pregnancy, which gives me so much confidence and peace of mind. Her knowledge and professionalism are outstanding, and I always feel that my health and my baby’s safety come first. I’m so grateful for her guidance and encouragement, and I highly recommend Rozzie to anyone looking for a caring, experienced, and dedicated coach, especially during pregnancy.

More Than a Pregnancy Workout

Your pregnancy matters. But so do your training history, current fitness, symptoms, confidence and healthcare guidance.

That is why your coaching is built around you rather than around a generic trimester programme.

Personalised to Your Starting Point

Your training reflects your experience, current fitness, pregnancy stage, goals and available equipment rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.

Adapted as Pregnancy Changes

Your programme evolves as your energy, comfort, balance and exercise tolerance change throughout pregnancy.

Live Technique Correction

Your coach watches you move and provides immediate feedback, coaching cues and exercise adjustments during every live session.

Private Female-to-Female Coaching

Train privately from home with a qualified female coach in a supportive 1-to-1 environment focused entirely on you.

How Online Prenatal Personal Training Works

Online coaching with Fit with Rozzie gives you the personal attention and live guidance of one-to-one training, rather than leaving you to follow a workout video on your own.

Consultation & Prenatal Fitness Assessment

1

We start by understanding your pregnancy stage, previous training experience, current activity level, goals, available equipment and relevant healthcare guidance.

We also discuss how exercise currently feels and whether there are symptoms, restrictions or concerns that need to be considered before training begins. This is a fitness and coaching assessment, not a medical assessment.

Your Personal Starting Point

2

Your coach then chooses an appropriate starting point for your current situation.

Exercise selection, load, range of motion, positions, training volume and session difficulty are based on your experience and current needs rather than a standard pregnancy template.

Live 1-to-1 Training

3

Sessions take place live through Google Meet, with Zoom available as a backup when required.

Your coach demonstrates exercises, watches your technique and gives feedback while you move.

If something feels uncomfortable or no longer works well for you, the exercise can be changed during the session.

Ongoing Adaptation

4

Pregnancy does not stand still, so your programme should not either.

As your pregnancy progresses, your coach continues to adjust exercises according to your movement, comfort, exercise tolerance, pregnancy stage and any new guidance from your healthcare provider.

Your Online Setup

You do not need a full home gym.

A mat, resistance bands and a few suitable dumbbells can already provide many training options. If you have a home gym or residential building gym, your programme can use the equipment available there.

Your phone, tablet or laptop simply needs to be positioned far enough away for your coach to see your movement clearly. For some exercises, you may be asked to change the camera angle.

Your Pregnancy Stage Matters & Your Training History Does Too

Pregnancy training should not begin from the same place for every woman.

Strength, Core & Pressure Management During Pregnancy

STRENGTH TRAINING

Pregnancy does not automatically mean stopping strength training. Exercise selection, load, range of motion and volume can be adapted as your pregnancy progresses.

CORE & PRESSURE MANAGEMENT

Core training is more nuanced than simply avoiding abdominal exercises. Breathing, exercise position, control and how you manage pressure all influence exercise choices.

PELVIC FLOOR

Pelvic-floor function involves both tension and relaxation. Persistent leaking, pain, heaviness or other symptoms may require assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional.

Questions Women Often Have About Training During Pregnancy

Pregnancy advice is rarely one-size-fits-all.

Pregnancy often comes with conflicting exercise advice. These are some of the questions we commonly address during prenatal coaching.

Can I still squat during pregnancy?

For many women, squat patterns can continue during pregnancy.

Stance, depth, loading position or equipment may change as your pregnancy progresses or as your body changes.

There is no requirement to squat exactly as you did before pregnancy.

Hip-hinge and deadlift patterns may remain useful for experienced lifters.

As your abdomen grows, changes to stance, equipment, range of motion or load can make the exercise more comfortable and appropriate.

Pregnancy does not mean your abdominal muscles stop working.

Your core contributes to movement and force transfer throughout training and daily life.

What may need to change is the type, position and difficulty of direct core exercises and how you manage pressure while performing them.

Visible changes along the abdominal midline can provide useful feedback about how your abdominal wall is responding to an exercise.

Rather than automatically treating every visible change as dangerous, we can adjust the position, difficulty, breathing strategy, range of motion or load and reassess.

Symptoms or concerns outside normal fitness coaching should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.

Women who were established runners before pregnancy may sometimes continue running during an uncomplicated pregnancy when it remains comfortable and appropriate.

Others may find that impact no longer suits them.

Previous running experience, symptoms, balance, comfort and healthcare-provider guidance should all inform the decision.

Pregnancy is generally not the time to suddenly begin a demanding running programme if you were not accustomed to running beforehand.

As pregnancy progresses, prolonged exercise lying flat on the back may need to be modified.

That does not mean your entire programme needs to be built around one rigid rule.

Where appropriate, we can use an incline, seated position, side-lying position or another exercise variation while considering comfort, symptoms and healthcare guidance.

Continue, Modify or Stop?

Good prenatal coaching is not about being afraid of movement. It is also not about pushing through everything. Knowing the difference is part of good coaching.

CONTINUE

When the exercise remains comfortable, controlled and appropriate for your current situation, there may be no reason to change it simply because you are pregnant.

MODIFY

Training may need to change when fatigue increases, balance changes, a position becomes uncomfortable, technique deteriorates or an exercise no longer feels appropriate.

Modification may mean changing the load, range of motion, position, pace, exercise selection or simply taking more recovery.

STOP & SEEK MEDICAL GUIDANCE

Exercise should be stopped and appropriate medical guidance sought if warning signs occur.

These can include vaginal bleeding, dizziness or faintness, chest pain, significant shortness of breath before exertion, painful regular contractions, fluid leakage, significant headache, abdominal pain, muscle weakness affecting balance, or calf pain or swelling.

These symptoms are not something a personal trainer diagnoses or treats.

Your doctor, obstetrician, maternity team or other qualified healthcare provider should assess them.

Any new medical instructions or exercise restrictions provided by your healthcare team take priority over your training programme.

Fitness Coaching That Works Alongside Your Maternity Care

Fit with Rozzie provides personal training, fitness coaching and nutrition coaching within our professional scope.

We do not provide medical diagnosis, obstetric care, physiotherapy, pelvic-floor therapy, rehabilitation or treatment of pregnancy complications.

Your doctor, obstetrician, midwife and other relevant healthcare professionals remain responsible for your medical care.

Before training begins, we collect relevant health and pregnancy information. Depending on your medical history, pregnancy circumstances, symptoms or existing healthcare guidance, we may ask you to consult your healthcare provider or obtain appropriate medical clearance.

If your healthcare provider gives you specific exercise instructions or restrictions, those instructions take priority.

Our role is to provide personalised fitness coaching that can work alongside your maternity care, not replace it.

Online Prenatal Personal Training FAQ

Is exercise safe during pregnancy?

For many women with uncomplicated pregnancies, physical activity can be continued or introduced during pregnancy.

What is appropriate depends on factors including your previous activity, current pregnancy, symptoms, medical history and healthcare-provider guidance.

Your programme should therefore be individual rather than based only on the fact that you are pregnant.

Not every woman automatically requires formal medical clearance before every type of prenatal exercise.

However, we screen for relevant health and pregnancy considerations before training.

If there are medical or obstetric concerns, symptoms, restrictions or uncertainty about exercise suitability, we may ask you to speak with your doctor, obstetrician or other appropriate healthcare professional before beginning or continuing training.
